Springtime

It's 23 degrees today and there's no lovelier time to go out in the sun. It's good to see some skin and everyone is in pretty flowery dresses looking to conquer any patch of grass or bench to laze on. I'm trying to be less lazy and bring my camera around.

The girls and I decided to enjoy the sun - I brought them to my new favourite haunt - The Commerical Bakery - and we walked on to Fed Square and sat on funky looking stools away from the giant crowd watching the footie finals (Go Collingwood!).

Riverland Madness

One of my most favourite places in Melbourne is Riverland, right by the river, hidden beneath the the iconic Federation Square. Fed Square is so touristy - it's great to see this hidden treasure seemingly catered to those who are lucky enough to stumble down the stair behind the building - for sunny days with cold beer and wine!

Today we went to celebrate the birthday of a dear, dear friend.

A fashion blogger I stalk follow religiously is Song of Style and I love how she pairs ankle length clog boots with insanely short dresses and skirts. I then decided to give it a go myself today - and realised I failed miserably as I had neither her skinny legs nor her height.

I had fun dressing up anyway!

And of course, my other fashionista half, Hong Yi - she decided to slash her jeans this morning - paired up with her Ozzy Osbourne sunnies she's looking rocker chick for the day!

sun

i have promised to hermit myself from now till my final assignment submission on june 9th - but i really couldn't help myself when i saw how wonderfully sunny it was outside.

i dragged out the chair, throw, and threw my head back - and soaked up whatever rays of 5pm sun i could get.

and now it's back to work. :(

ps. also am thinking of putting some lovely plants on the balcony. but does anyone know if it's really feasible? plus winter's coming up right? also plus plus i have an uncanny ability to kill plants (even cacti) so maybe i shouldn't even think of getting plants...
